XFL Week 3 Power Rankings

I wrote 1,200 words and embedded over 30 tweets so I Ould provide an in depth look at XFL Week 3 but WordPress is stupid and I hate it and they deleted all of it so here are my Official KJ Sports Blog XFL Power Rankings. (OKJSBXFLPR for short)

  1. Houston Roughnecks (3-0) – They still have some things that they need to work on defensively, but this team is rolling right now. Phillip Walker and Cam Phillips are extremely dynamic and make magic together. The rest of the offense showed up as well in this weekend’s opening game. It will be interesting to see how well they fare against a more competitive opponent.
  2. St. Louis BattleHawks (2-1) – The BattleHawks put it all together this week. The defense stepped up and their special teams played one of the most outstanding games I’ve ever seen from a ST group. They are sticking to their identity as a ground a pound team. If it aint broke don’t fix it.
  3. D.C. Defenders (2-1) – Cardale Jones was bad this week but he wasn’t the only problem for Pep Hamilton’s squad. The D.C. defense that balled out in weeks 1 & 2 didn’t show up this week, allowing 39 points to the LA Wildcats. If they weren’t so impressive last week they would have fell much further.
  4. Dallas Renegades (2-1) – Dallas keeps on winning despite bad QB play from Landry Jones who threw 2 more interceptions this week. I’ll continue to say it, the better he plays the better this Dallas team will be. He is their most important piece. Right now they’re winning despite his performances, they need to start winning because of them.
  5. LA Wildcats (1-2) – They finally got their first win and it came against a team who looked like a power house. I told you last week they were better than 0-2 and they proved it this week.
  6. Seattle Dragons (1-2) – Honestly this is one of the most boring football teams I’ve ever watched. They’re just so bland. They have a couple of good receivers in Keenan Reynolds (former Navy QB) and Austin Proehl (son of former NFL WR who always lost to the Patriots in Super Bowls Ricky Proehl) but the rest of the team is blah.
  7. Tampa Bay Vipers (0-3) – The Tampa Bay Vipers are not good, but they may not be as bad as I thought they would be. They came out and were not a disgrace to the game of football this week which is a major improvement. S/O Marc Trestman for finally not being the worst.
  8. New York Guardians (1-2) – Again, I told you last week, this team is falling apart. They are just straight up not good. I hope they give former DII National Champ, Luis Perez some burn at QB. The kid showed that he’s better than McGloin and Williams. They don’t have a QB and their HC Kevin Gilbride told WR Mekale McKay, “I may need you to be a leader here because there’s guys who I thought would be better at doing that are just not” The #PettyWars have just begun.

Sorry for such a boring blog but I got screwed by WordPress. Come back next week for the usual magic that you’ve become accustomed to.

  1. I’m pretty disappointed. Starting out week one I really wanted the NY Gaurdians to be my team, but they are just sadly letting me down. I’m not even seeing hope on the horizon. But coming from a place where the Pat’s have been my lifelong love, my expectations will always be high for any potential team I might cheer for.
