A look back at #BradyWatch

Tom Brady is going to be a Tampa Bay Buccaneer.

In a move that feels like a fever dream, Tom Brady announced on Tuesday that has tenure in New England was officially over.

That was followed by the announcement that he would be joining Tampa Bay per Adam Schefter.

Brady made the long awaited decision after a few weeks (that felt like a few years) of speculation from NFL personalities and insiders. Here is a rough timeline of the events that led to Tom Brady’s departure from New England.

Jeff Darlington makes a bold statement.

Then gives his explanation.

A couple of NFL reporters stated what they were hearing on the matter.

Then Adam Schefter backed up Darlington’s claims.

Then things got goofy for a few days.

IG comments.

Dan Shaughnessy columns. (I’m rolling my eyes.)

Deep dives on TV clips.

Then, what many feel was the dagger in Brady’s decision.

Followed by a conflicting report.

Plus reports of the Patriots trying to make moves to aid in their pursuit of Brady.

and Bill Barnwell’s contingency plan if the Patriots lost Brady. (An especially good read now.)

Then there was more and more hope for Pats Nation . . .

Until the daggers came. Two statements made by Brady.

The end of an era in not just New England, but the entire NFL.

We all owe Jeff Darlington an apology.
